.: GEOFFREY DUNSTAN WILLIAMS, countertenor, hails from the American Midwest and began his musical
life as a member of the American Boychoir. Having devoted much of his life to service in church music,
he has sung with many of the finest choral foundations on the East Coast including the National Cathedral
in Washington D.C., and now serves as a Gentleman of the Choir of Men and Boys at Saint Thomas Church,
Fifth Avenue in New York City.
Mr. Williams is in growing demand as an early music specialist throughout the United States and is a resident artist and soloist with many of New York’s finest ensembles including the Vox Vocal Ensemble, Clarion Music Society, and Early Music New York. With over 20 commercial recordings to his credit, he happily explores the works of Perotinus and Purcell and beyond into the postmodern repertoire. When not opening his mouth to sing or spout useless information about church history or Tudor singing diction, he is happily married to his wife, Emilie, and waits patiently for his beloved Chicago Cubs to win a World Series. .: UPDATED AUGUST 13, 2007 |
